I am a 4th year MD student at the University of Queensland Ochsner, which is a unique hybrid program where we spend our first two years of medical school in beautiful Brisbane, Queensland, Australia and our clinical years in New Orleans, Louisiana. I’m applying to Otolaryngology for Match 2025.
I started drawing when I was very young and grew up wanting to go to art school. During my senior year of high school, I realized that I didn’t want to lose the joy of drawing by forcing it out of myself - so I switched my proposed major to biology and started down the road of science instead.
In my free time, I do medical illustration, usually with ink and colored pencil, but I’ve also been experimenting with acrylic paint and graphite for subjects outside of the medical realm.
