Dr. Jeff Matthews is a Chicago-based songwriter/guitarist who records with producer Mark Hudson (Ringo Starr, Aerosmith, Ozzy) and Earl Slick (lead guitar for Bowie, John Lennon).
His most recent release "Shut Up and Listen" also features Paul Santo (Joe Perry) and Steve Holley (Wings, Ian Hunter), engineered/mixed by Mario J McNulty (Bowie, Laurie Anderson, Julian Lennon). He has played with a number of bands including Supreme Pontiff, Kid Sonic, The Boom, Craw Not Craw, Where's Keiko, Managed Care, and Turnover Time. In his spare time, he is also Surgeon-in-Chief and Professor of Surgery at The University of Chicago.
